Splinters from your dandy brocade
... you oh you foiled me,
you oh you fooled me,
you oh you robbed me,
you oh you taught me a lesson
I so richly deserved ...
Travelling from land to land
Colours surge and merge
forming a collage of memories -
of fragile leaves and sad goodbyes ...
I trace my remembrance with a
fingertip -
recalling every detestes part
of your body, especially your heart!
Silence it hangs like a swaying corpse
in the wind
portraying our time together, but ...
how wicked is the mistress of fate,
undoing all the harmonious knots
we once tied.
you oh you foiled me,
you oh you fooled me
you oh you were dressed in your
dandy's brocade
selecting a handful of warriors to
defend your hopeless crusade.
We shot holes at the moon,
we stole the spots from a tigers back,
my eyes were later removed
by splinters taken from a camels back.
How you grinned through lips of deceit
- suave to the end with contempt
adamant with deception and in
great elegance
you severed away my head,
leaving me to stroll witlessly
into the frosted court of mad men and
paupers - whoever they may be ...?
... you draped me in an imitation copy
of your dandy brocade ...
